Tips to Soothe Your Colicky Baby!

A fussy baby means no sleep – for Baby or Mom.

So what’s keeping your baby up? Colic is a common up-all-night problem, which can leave your little one tired and irritable (Mom might feel the same!). So how do you encourage some much-needed sleep for the both of you?BABY-ON-FLOOR-WITH-TOYS

Clean diaper. Full belly. What else could be the problem? In newborns, extended periods of crying could be colic, especially if your baby appears inconsolable.

Watch for the signs. If your little one has frequent bouts of intense crying, passes gas during these crying jags, or pulls his legs up when crying, it could be colic.

When? It usually starts between the 3rd and 6th week after birth and ends by the time the baby is 3 to 4 months old. [more info here]
To ease your baby’s symptoms, try these tips:COCYNTAL 30D EN 2013 HR

  • Offer a homeopathic medicine such as Cocyntal to relieve baby colic symptoms: abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and intestinal gas.

Developed specifically for babies ages 1 to 6 months, Cocyntal is just as easy to use as Camilia, with single, drinkable unit-doses, and is also free of dyes, preservatives and sugar.

  • Burp your baby frequently, especially after feeds.
  • Massage your baby gently, or give a warm bath.
  • Offer a pacifier
  • Take a ride with baby. Get your baby moving and he may go right to sleep.

Aside from these ideas, you can never give too many cuddles. Your baby will look to you for comfort and relief. No pressure!

This homeopathic medicine may not be right for everyone. Always read and follow the label.
