Munch Mitt Review

Well, baby McBee #3 is now 3 months old and he LOVES his Munch Mitt.  I couldn’t wait for him to try it out.  Compared to all the other teething aids out there, this one is genius (did I mention, it was created by a mom for moms!?) It ACTUALLY does stay on.  No more dropping in a grocery store aisle.  I was surprised that at only 3 months, this actually worked for him – I really thought he might be a bit young.  This works great in the carseat too and I feel confident knowing that it can’t come off and be a choking hazard like some other teething toys.  Its good to note that babies can also wear it on either hand – (hello – ambidextrous super baby!)

What is great to know about the Munch Mitt (besides the fact it actually works!) is that you can rest assured that it is safe for baby to chew endlessly on.  It is made with BPA and phthalate-free, food grade silicone and soft, breathable, water resistant fabric. MunchMitt® has been tested by Intertek to ensure it meets or exceeds all federal safety requirements, including Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) standards, American Society for Testing and Materials (“ASTM”) regulations, and the most current Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (“CPSIA”) in both the US and Canada.

The mitt comes in lime green and hot pink and has a handy little carrying case to ensure that it stays clean and protected from germs when not in use.  It also make a crinkly sort of sound when baby chews on it or plays with it, so that keeps him entertained as well.  It has kept him occupied and extends his time on his play mat or pack n play in our kitchen – especially at supper prep time, when everyone is demanding my attention.

I just gave 3 of these to friends to try and we will be create a third post to give their input as well.  This is such a great idea and a really nice gift as well for that expectant mom or new mom that seems to have everything.  It is so unique!  I was at a new baby store yesterday and all I could think about was how the Munch Mitt needs to make it to the big box store shelves!

We haven’t had to wash it yet, but it is machine washable and would probably dry quickly based on the light fabric.
