Well, Spring seems to officially be here and so is the new Peekaboo Beans Spring line. As usual, it is totally adorable. The line has many of the staple pieces from previous lines in it, as well as fun and playful new additions with a carnival theme. Characters, cotton candy, carousel horses and bright colours – all sure to look amazing on your kids (and feel good too!)
The Spring catalogue starts out with a carefree dress, perfect for twirling and aptly named the “Ferris Wheel Dress.” I love that the pieces from past collections can be pulled together with new pieces to make the perfect spring outfit. My daughter has the Ten Karat Dress from a past collection and you can easily brighten up the winter charcoal colour with some of their colourful capri “Over Under Leggings” (just $30 and they come in 4 colours – see photo below) The bottom of the capri can be cuffed to show off another bright colour, or to change the look of the same pair of pants for more outfit options. For those who feel that $64 is expensive for the Ten Karat Dress – consider that the sleeves can be rolled out as your child grows, it can be a light fall or spring (or summer, depending on where you live!) jacket for cool days or be worn as a dress with long or capri leggings all year round. Not to mention, I haven’t had an experience yet where the clothes faded even the slightest (or looked worn) even after tons of washing. These pieces are long lasting, classic and can be worn throughout the year.
I have said it before and will say it again – I love the Peekaboo Beans boys line. They are on trend without being too hipster for every day where and still very comfortable for busy little boys. I also like that now that my boys are 1 & 3, it is easier than ever to twin them in sweet PB clothes! I got them several shirts, sweaters and pants that match. My favourite sets in the Spring line have the black stripe fabric pattern. It can be seen in several of the pieces. I got my boys the “Layer Up Tee” in black stripe and then I got my daughter the black stripe “Live To Play Tunic” ($56) with the black “Long Embrace Leggings” (just $29!) This makes for a tripe cute outfit for all three and one that will be perfect for our Easter weekend festivities!
If you haven’t ever ordered Peekaboo Beans, or are hesitant at the pricing, my advise to you would be:
