Description

Find your parenting people! Parenting is a tough gig, despite the immense reward. Real talk: not loving every minute doesn’t mean you don’t love your kids! If you want an inclusive, safe space to vent and share in the highs and lows of parenting among peers, Parent Peers welcomes you! Sessions are hosted by Sheryl MacNeil, a certified Conscious Parenting coach and counselling psychology student (check her out here on Instagram). They will be a mix of peer/group-led and gently guided support. We start with snacks and social time, then sessions may be initiated with a group-requested topic, such as parenting styles, boundaries, siblings, etc. then progress to open-ended sharing circle-style. Sessions vary in length and often social time runs late, but guests are welcome to leave anytime!

No matter what your parenting style preferences, Sheryl will help walk & talk you through the thick and thin with her expertise, openness, and ideas. While not certified therapy, peer support is a great start whatever parenting “pit” you are in: big-time struggling or barely surviving. You are NOT alone. Support sessions are offered monthly (usually a Tuesday), subject to availability of our host/venue.

Any parent of any stage welcome, whether you are a Mommy Connections program participant or not! Sessions are FREE to attend, and anyone can join sessions at any time as often as desired.
