A very informative 2nd class in Oakville!

Today we welcomed Christine from St. John’s Ambulance here in Oakville and also Maria from The New Mummy Company, also Oakville based, to speak to our Moms on a variety of different topics.

Christine covered baby-proofing your home and provided great insight on what potential hazards may exist. She also gave a demo on what to do if your infant starts choking – all in all a very informative presentation. St. John’s Ambulance offers a number of workshops for parents; I’m looking at taking their one-day weekend certification course – it’s so very important to be prepared!

Maria, owner of The New Mummy Company provided a fantastic Q&A session for the Moms answering all of their questions ranging from starting solids, trouble with napping, co-sleeping, swaddling, constipation, etc.

The New Mummy Company provides an invaluable resource to new parents. Maria is a “Baby Whisper”with a particular gift for working with multiples.

And finally, a special thank-you to Irene, from WeePiggies & Paws, for providing the Moms with a free hand or foot ornament! It’s so important to make these memories with your baby before their little “piggies and paws” are adult hands and feet!
