You had me at frozen yogurt! If it wasn’t enough that the newly renovated Longo’s store at Trafalgar & Dundas is home to an on-site Starbucks, I just learned it will also feature a Yogurty’s?! What an amazing way to make the grocery run a rather enjoyable one. I’d recommend beginning your shop with a Starbucks in hand and rewarding yourself for a job well done with a delicious frozen yogurt.

Having attended the much talked about and celebrated opening of the Longo’s brand new store in South East Oakville, last month, I was excited to hear they had another opening planned to round out the Summer season; this time, a reopening of their Trafalgar & Dundas location.

First opened in 1982, this location is a staple in North Oakville and has undergone three renovations in the last 30+ years.

The now 47,500 square foot space is home to a full-service meat and seafood counter and a full-service “Kitchen” crafting gourmet meals, authentic made-to-order stone oven pizzas, panini and hot sandwiches; these exciting additions build on the existing key departments Longo’s in known for including an extensive selection of fresh produce, gourmet cheeses, deli counter and stocked grocery aisles.

“This Oakville location carries a lot of local heritage; having first opened on August 11^th, 1982, Longo’s was the only freestanding building along the fields and farms. Longo’s has since grown and we’re proud to be a part of the North Oakville neighbourhood. The Trafalgar store’s latest renovation was designed to bring elevated offerings to customers along with expanding our team member’s food expertise. We want to continue to provide shoppers the Longo’s passion for food, outstanding quality and value,” says Eric Wood, Store Manager, Longo’s Trafalgar.

The re-opening of this location adds to Longo’s existing roster of full-service locations in both Burloak and South East Oakville.

I’m already planning to get my caffeine and frozen yogurt fixes on this weekend in prep for Labour Day celebrations!
