Cabbage Patch Kids Birthday Party

Since the girls are still young enough that I can pick the party themes, we went with a throw back to my childhood: Cabbage Patch Kids! The focal point of the party was the cupcakes.I made the cupcakes the day before the party. Chocolate cream cheese frosting topped with little cabbages made out of green fondant. Some of them had cabbage patch kids on them, all made out of fondant.

I thought it would be cute to make a stand for them, as if it was a Cabbage Patch garden.I covered two cutting boards in white wrapping paper and then stacked them on top of each other to give the extra height in the middle. Using mini popsicle sticks, I built a fence around the boards.

Continuing with the theme, Cabbage Patch Kids stickers were added to everything – water bottles, cups, goody bags etc. Below is homemade play dough, in matching colours to the party, that was in the goody bags.Old and new Cabbage Patch Kids!
