Review: Ecologik Athletic Detergent

Ecologik is a Brand New Company with Natural Cleaning Products made right here in Saskatoon! Cleaning products you can use around your children without worrying about what type of chemicals they are coming into contact with.

I have been given the opportunity to review a number of their products and if you have been following my blog posts and our Facebook page you will know that I have really enjoyed all the products so far.

The newest product I reviewed was the Athletic Detergent. Active lifestyles deserve high performance detergents. Take on the organics in your laundry with natural Athletic Detergent. Natural enzymes are mixed with oxygen cleaner to beat stains. Works in all water temperatures.

I used this item on my husband’s hockey and ball jersey’s and other clothing and on my gym clothes and the items came out looking and smelling great (for anyone who knows what hockey jerseys and towels can smell like you know how important it is for the items to come out smelling great!)

Even though this product is called Athletic Detergent I used it on all our clothes. Both my daughters seem to get stains on their shirts/pants on a daily basis. My youngest goes down stairs on her bum and the other day we were at a family members house out on their deck, she went up and down the stairs all night. By the end the bum of her pink pants were practically black with dirt! I washed them with our normal detergent and they came out with the bum still stained. I re-washed them with this detergent and they came out clean!

Pros:

1. Super Concentrated – 10x – meaning I use less per load and fewer containers in the landfill
2. Full disclosure of ingredients
3. Natural
4. No animal testing
5. Beats tough stains

And I’m not the only one raving about these products. The Moms in our Mom and Baby classes have had the opportunity to try out some of the products and so far the reviews are great

“I got the unscented liquid laundry detergent. It’s super concentrated so a little goes a long way, and since its unscented and doesn’t have harsh chemicals it is gentle enough to use on all of my baby laundry. It’s also convenient that it is in a pump bottle so I don’t get it all over like I do with my big jug of detergent that drips onto my laundry room floor, you just pump a few pumps directly into the machine and nothing spills and you don’t have to use a measuring cup.”

“ I tried the scented liquid laundry. I liked that the scent was subtle so that there was a fresh scent in the laundry but it was not overpowering. The pump mechanism for distribution of the detergent was very easy to use and the container size is much easier to handle than other detergents.”

 “I tried the dish detergent. It’s super concentrated so you only need a few drops to do a sink full of dishes. As a new mom I can’t always get to the dishes when they need to be done; with a little soak and this product, stuck on food came off with a simple wipe – no scrubbing needed!”

” I tried the clementine peppermint dish soap and it’s awesome! I was intrigued by the smell and when I used it it made lots of bubbles, helped make my dishes real clean, and left my hands legitimately softer than before I did the dishes. For someone who normally really dislikes doing the dishes I actually enjoyed the whole experience!”

 “I took the powdered laundry detergent. I like that it is so concentrated that it will last for 45 loads. It also works really well with our cloth diapers. I also like that it is made in Canada with natural ingredients! I am excited to use the awesome coupon to buy more!”

“I tried the powdered laundry detergent. I am liking many things so far.
1. Ingredients listed have a description to go along with the confusing scientific name (much appreciated)
2. No phosphates, phalates, or other harmful ingredients which makes me feel good about using it for cloth diapers and my baby’s clothes
3. They use natural oils to give the lemony scent- and it’s heavenly!
4. Clothes felt and looked nice and clean
5. Powder dissolved well in the water
