What were the Best Movies Of 2011?

12/31/2011

As a new mom I watched A LOT of movies (always in 10 minute segments though as my little guy’s naps never seemed to last very long!)  This past year I was even lucky enough to catch a few of the top movies at the theatre.  Did you know that many local theatres offer Mom & Baby movies?

Roncesvalles has a wonderful local resource called The Revue.  Every Wednesday at 1pm this not-for-profit community cinema hosts Baby & You, a regular screening series for parents with new babies.  In addition to plenty of stroller parking, you’ll find change tables equipped with diapers and wipes, a bottle-warming service and play stations for those little ones who won’t succumb to sleep. The experience in the auditorium is also controlled, with volume turned down to protect sensitive ears. And of course, if your baby cries you’re among friends (though most babies are easily calmed in the darkened auditorium).  For more information about this theatre, click here.

Comment below on your favourite movies of 2011, and enter to win 2 passes The Revue (valid for all showings, not just mom and baby!)

Here are some of my personal favorites from 2011:

50 / 50

Bridesmaids

The Debt

Drive
