What you’ll need:
Method
Combine all ingredients except maple syrup/plum sauce in a 5 to 6 quart electric slow cooker. Set on low and cook for 8 hours. If you don’t have a slow cooker brown beef in a big pot with oil. Once browned remove beef from pot and add onions, carrot, garlic and spices to pot. Cook until the onions are soft then combine the rest of the ingredients. Cook on medium-low heat for approximately 4 hours or until stew thickens.
After 7½ hours (3½ hours if not using a crockpot) add maple syrup/plum sauce to desired level of sweetness and add salt and pepper to desired taste.
Serve with mashed potatoes or any starch for a complete meal.
Serves roughly 6 people.

I don’t have 9 hours to cook it but went to Rowe Farms, got the stewing beef, and am making my own version! Thanks for the inspiration.
So creative of you 😉 Let me know how it goes!
