Random Acts Of Kindness Advent Calendar

11/26/2015

This year we’re starting a new family tradition in the days leading up to Christmas. Inspired by the Random Acts Of Kindness For Kids advent calendars I spotted on Pinterest, I have created 24 activities for us to do as a family to teach my son the importance of giving back.

Unlike the online calendars that assign a task to a specific day, we wanted ours to be a bit flexible and allow him to choose his activity each day. In a moment of craftiness I created this board. Each tag has an activity printed on the back.

It can be reused every year, and allows us to select the best activity for the day based on our schedule.  Once he’s completed the task, we will hang the tag on our tree.  The board was purchased from Michaels and I picked up the cute gift tags and clothes pins from Homesense.

This is awesome! We are also doing a kindness activity but we have a kindness elf (elf on the shelf creeps me out!) who leaves ‘missions’ for us to do each day.
