Jamberry Nails – review of the hot new trend

06/15/2014

I would never describe myself as a total girly girl. I have never been one to need to be done up from head to toe, even before I had kids. That being said, I have always liked the look of having my nails done. It makes me feel a little more put together, even in sweat pants and a tank top. Finding businesses and services that ease the lives of Moms is a huge part of what I do. For the past few months, I have been approached by women from all of our programs inquiring about one of the biggest beauty trends – Jamberry Nails. Recently I met with Kristina Skov, a local Jamberry Consultant and want to pass along my experience with these nail wraps.

The idea behind Jamberry is pretty simple. They want women to be able to have beautiful nails – customized to suit their personalities, without costing a fortune. With over 300 different wraps, starting from $15 per sheet, they definitely are able to accomplish this. But I was still very skeptical on how well they would work.

My Jamberry “Prep”

I watched the official YouTube video before starting the application, which made the system seem simple. I had everything ready to go – my hair dryer, rubbing alcohol, manicure scissors and my sheet of nail wraps. I took my time with my first two fingers, but very quickly realized how easy the application really was. I’ve always been one of those girls who can have perfectly polished left hand nails, but the right hand always looks sloppy. This was probably the thing I was most impressed about with these nails – They looked great on both hands! From start to finish, the application process took about 15 minutes.

The weekend after my application, my husband and I hosted a hot tub party. I thought this was the prefect test to see how well the Jamberry wraps would hold up. Again, I was really happy with the quality of this product – even after a night in the water they still looked just as good as they did on the first day!
